Kate Middleton and Prince William seemed to have a joyous time at a care home at the height of the Coronavirus pandemic, and the residents had them in stitches.
On one of their official visits to a care home in Cardiff, Wales, Kate Middleton and her husband had a laugh. Kate and Prince William had previously met the people in the home, however, it had been a virtual meeting when the pair had been the callers during a game of bingo. Some of the residents had hilarious questions and quips for the royal couple, with William, 42, saying he âlovedâ one of the residents.
Kate Middleton was asked if sheâs Prince Williamâs âassistantâ during care home visit
During their care home visit, Kate Middleton and Prince William spoke to many of its residents. Most of them had the future king and queen in stitches or wearing big smiles.
William took a shine to one woman, in particular, 87-year-old Joan.
âWe have to wear masks because of the virus, but itâs difficult to hear sometimes when you canât see someoneâs mouth,â William told her. He and Kate donned blue and pink face masks to prevent spreading infection.
Joan, pointing at Kate, responded: âIs that your assistant?â

Joan assesses the duke and duchessâ bingo skills
However, Joan wasnât too keen on their bingo skills. Neither Prince William nor Kate Middleton had forgotten what sheâd told them after the game, and made sure to remind her on their care home visit.
William greeted her and said: âHello Joan, do you remember we did the bingo with you? You said we werenât very good!â and she replied: âYes. You did a bloody s***** job.â
The pair were stunned for a few moments before bursting into laughter.
Another resident, Margaret Stocks, 95, who won the game, said sheâd never played bingo before. She told the royals âenjoyedâ it.
âNeither had we! Thatâs why we were so bad!â joked Kate, 42, as William added: âWe enjoyed it just as much as you did,â William said. âIt was a new experience for us.â
