Lindsay Lohan has given birth to a baby son named Luai, her celebrity rep confirmed to media outlets this week. The name is of Arabic origin and has the beautiful meaning of “protector” or “shield”.
The Parent Trap movie actress and her husband Bader welcomed their baby boy in Dubai where they currently live. Other details are scarce at the time of writing, and the star is yet to announce the birth of her newborn on Instagram.
Some of Lindsay’s latest Instagram snaps were filled with congratulatory messages from fans and celebrities.
“Congratulations Lindsay!” Paris Hilton wrote. “So happy for you. Welcome to the club. #BoyMom.” A fan wrote: “Congratulations Lindsay & Bader. Welcome, Luai.”

The actress confirmed her pregnancy in March on Instagram. She shared a picture of a white onesie with the words “coming soon” and added that the felt “blessed”.
Lindsay’s Mean Girls co-star Amanda Seyfried called the announcement “wonderful news” while Paris Hilton said: “Congratulations love! So happy for you. Welcome to the mommy club.”
In an earlier post, Lindsay unveiled images of her baby’s “dream” nursery which she designed with the help of the baby furniture and decor brand Nestig.
“Everything is inspired by the beach and is so peaceful and playful,” the actress explained in an Instagram post. “I loved working with @nestigbaby to create my dream nursery—everything is handmade and perfect for any little one in your life!”

Lindsay’s husband Bader works in the financial sector and currently serves as assistant vice president at Credit Suisse. With a degree in Finance from John H. Sykes College of Business, he previously worked at BNP Paribas Wealth Management.
Bader and Lindsay made their romance official in 2020 and the couple got engaged in November 2021. The Freaky Friday star confirmed the engagement with a string of snaps on Instagram and revealed her engagement ring.
