What do a pastor, a hippie, and a teen all have in common? All three are religious and come together to create their own type of evangelical church. That’s what Jesus Revolution, which is based on a true events, is all about. Who stars in the film?

In real-life, the trio is actually responsible for what later became known as the Jesus movement that took place during the late ’60s and early ’70s. The Calvary Church grew and grew, with most of the converts being hippies and musicians.

So who portrays these figures? Who can you expect to see in the film? We’ve got the answer for you below!

The three key characters in the drama are Chuck Smith, Lonnie Frisbee, and Greg Laurie. They are portrayed by actors Kelsey Grammer, Jonathan Roumie, and Joel Courtney, respectively.

Grammer is most known for his role as Dr. Frasier Crane in Cheers, and the spinoff all about his character, Frasier. Roumie actually plays the role of Jesus in The Chosen, which is streaming on Netflix. And finally, Courtney took on one of the main roles in The Kissing Booth movies on Netflix. The Christian drama was directed by Jon Erwin and Brent McCorkle. It’s based on the autobiographical book of the same name written by the real-life Greg Laurie and Ellen Vaughn.
