Selena Gomez has seemingly confirmed she’s currently single with the help of her ‘besties’ Taylor Swift and the Haim sisters. The iconic girl gang celebrated the Fourth of July together with a party that gave us major FOMO, and it looks like they confirmed their relationship status with one simple line.
Selena Gomez hasn’t had a public relationship in a while, however, she’s been at the front of a number of dating rumors. A few months ago, she was linked to Zayn Malik, and now the latest, Jeremy Allen White. It looks like yet again the 30-year-old has cleverly used social media to shut down rumors without directly addressing them.
Selena Gomez celebrates ‘single summer’
Selena celebrated the Fourth of July with a group of her besties, including Taylor Swift and the Haim sisters as the Bad Blood singer held her first Independence Day party since 2016.
In the Instagram caption, the sisters wrote: “Single summer” as the girls candidly posed with smiles and peace signs.
The Disney Channel alum previously confirmed she was single herself over on TikTok last month when she shouted:
“I’m single, I’m just a little high maintenance but I’ll love you sooo much,” on a soccer pitch full of eligible bachelors.
The jokey video came after she was linked to One Direction alum and Gigi Hadid‘s ex, Zayn Malik.
Rumors about the star’s love life circle the internet
After the Zayn Malik rumors, Selena was somehow linked to actor Jeremy Allen White via unverified celebrity gossip Instagram DeuxMoi.
Gomez and White both happened to be in Vanity Fair’s Hollywood issue this year, so fans linked the submission to the pair. However, this is purely based on fan speculation and there is no evidence to support this.
However, some fans aren’t buying it at all as one said on Twitter: “There are people that actually believe that Selena Gomez and Jeremy Allen White are actually dating lmfao.”
As Selena has now confirmed she’s single with the help of her friends, we can probably consider this case (and rumor) closed.
Selena Gomez’s public relationships
Selena’s most famous relationship was with popstar Justin Bieber, who she dated from 2010 to 2014. The couple then reconciled in 2017, but they called it quits for good in March 2018.
Bieber went on to marry Hailey Baldwin later that year, and Gomez hasn’t confirmed a public relationship since.
Although, she’s been linked to a number of men along the way, including The Chain Smoker’s Drew Taggart. Again, Gomez used the power of social media to debunk that one.
Moving away from the rumors, the People You Know singer publically dated Nick Jonas briefly in 2008, which is how she became besties with Swift, who was dating Joe at the time.
She also had a short relationship with singer Charlie Puth, before dating The Weeknd in 2017. The pair sent fans wild when went Insta official right before Coachella.
They also attended the Met Gala together, but unfortunately, it wasn’t meant to be, and the pair went their separate ways later that year.
